How we work

Tell us the job. We will tell you the box.

Baton Rouge throws a lot at a house — heat, hurricanes, high water and the occasional hail storm — and every one of them ends with a pile of debris. Baton Rouge Dumpster sets down roll-off containers in driveways, on job sites and in front of flooded homes, and picks them up when you are finished. Call with what the project is and where, and we will talk through the size before anything gets dropped.

Common questions

What Baton Rouge asks before renting.

What size do I need?

A bathroom or a single room of flooring usually fits in a 10 or 15 yard. A kitchen, a whole-house flooring job or a big cleanout is a 20. A flooded house or new construction usually needs a 30 or 40. Tell us the job and we will help you pick.

Can it go on the street?

On your own driveway or lot, there is usually nothing to file. If it has to sit on a street or right-of-way in Baton Rouge or one of the surrounding cities, check with that city first.

My yard is soft. Is that a problem?

It can be. A loaded roll-off is heavy, and Baton Rouge ground stays wet a long time after rain. Pick a spot on concrete or a firm drive if you can, and tell us about it when you call.

What can't go in?

Paint, chemicals, oil, tires, batteries and refrigerators or freezers with refrigerant are generally not allowed. Heavy materials like concrete and dirt can go in a box sized for them. Ask if you are unsure.

How long can I keep it?

Rentals are set by days, and you can extend. Call when it is full or when you are done and it gets picked up.

Do you pick up and swap on job sites?

Yes. On construction and big cleanouts, a full box can be hauled and an empty one set down in its place.

Ask about a dumpster

Where is it going, and what is going in it?

Give us the address, the kind of job and the dates. If the yard is soft or the street is narrow, mention it.

We only use this to get back to you about the dumpster.

Call with the address, what you are throwing out, and when you need it. If it is easier, send it over and we will call you back.
